Tuta absoluta infestation is a serious menace to tomato production in both greenhouses and open-field. Nutrigation regulation for optimum growth of tomatoes is an important factor in controlling infestation. It takes few weeks for this insect to wreck havoc as the rate of reproduction is very high. 

Arithemethic estimation shows that four generations can reproduce up to 97 million larvae in four months, which are responsible for the damages.
