La distribuzione dei concimi durante le lavorazioni preparatorie il letto di semina o trapianto permette di creare una riserva di nutrienti nel franco di coltivazione necessari per uno sviluppo completo delle colture.
Si deve però considerare che con l’utilizzo dei concimi tradizionali a pronto effetto una porzione considerevole dei nutritivi, apportati in anticipo rispetto le esigenze della coltura, è comunque soggetta a lisciviazione, evaporazione, o assorbita dalle particelle del suolo, risultando poi non disponibile per l’assorbimento da parte della pianta.
 
Un’unica applicazione di concimi tradizionali a pronto effetto, in pre-impianto o in presemina, in genere non può soddisfare le mutevoli esigenze nutrizionali delle piante per tutta la durata del ciclo colturale. Di conseguenza è opportuno intervenire in diverse applicazioni frazionate durante la stagione. In tali contesti solamente una concimazione in copertura con fertilizzanti adatti a soddisfare le esigenze nutrizionali nelle diverse fasi fenologiche può assicurare una nutrizione ed uno sviluppo ottimale.
 
L’apporto frazionato di concimi migliora l’efficacia d’assorbimento da parte delle piante, permette di ridurre le dosi d’applicazione ed i rischi di contaminazione ambientale. Una valida alternativa per poter evitare, o ridurre, concimazioni ripetute in copertura è l’impiego di concimi a cessione controllata (MCT™) così da ottenere un rilascio progressivo degli elementi ricoperti durante tutto il ciclo.
 
I concimi granulari composti (contenenti almeno due elementi nutritivi principali) possono essere ottenuti con processi formulativi differenti:
 
  • Reazione di singole materie prime così da ottenere un granulo omogeneo contenente due o più elementi nutritivi principali (concimi complessi)
  • Miscelazione di singoli concimi granulari (concimi ottenuti per miscelazione)
 
Non sempre un concime complesso (ottenuto per reazione) è migliore di un concime ottenuto per miscelazione, o viceversa. In tutti e due i casi il valore del concime ci è dato da:
 
  • Massima titolazione e assenza di inerti
  • Massima solubilità in acqua
  • Granulometria omogenea con assenza di polvere
  • Purezza e caratteristiche delle materie prime, così da permettere la solubilizzazione (biodisponibilità) contemporanea di tutti gli elementi nutritivi

Combating soil salinity

High soil salinity impairs water uptake by the plant, thus disturbing critical physiological processes and consequently retarding growth and reducing yields. In addition, the main ions that produce salinity in the soil, sodium (Na+) and chloride (Cl-), have specific toxic effects on plants.

El mecanismo de los quelatos
El quelato es un complejo de un ión de micronutriente y una molécula orgánica que lo "sujeta", llamado ligando. Siempre que el ión es vinculado al ligando, está protegido de interactuar con otros iones de la solución, que podrían volverse no disponibles para la captación de la planta.
 
Como los iones de micronutrientes son consumidos por la planta, más iones son liberados de los ligandos de sujección, de este modo se vuelven disponibles para la asimilación por parte de la planta.
 
Este mecanismo maximiza la eficiencia de los micronutrientes aplicados. Cuando se aplica Haifa Micro™ por Nutrigación™, la aplicación de los quelatos asegura la disponibilidad de los micronutrientes en suelos ácidos y alcalinos.
 
 
Hierro (Fe) juega un importante papel en la formación de la clorofila. Está involucrado en la división celular que soporta el crecimiento de la planta, y otras reacciones vitales en la planta.

Il meccanismo dei chelati
