Fertilization of cherry trees: when and how?

Follow Haifa's recommendation to supply the cherry tree with the needed nutrients. Plus: find out what is the best season for foliar feeding

Soil type: light to medium, low in calcium, pH 6 - 7.5.
Annual irrigation rate: ~1,300 m3/ha.
Trees density: 300-700 trees/ha.
Expected yield: 20 MT/ha.

Foliar feeding

Fall is an excellent season to prepare the tree to next season requirements in N, K and Fe. As long as foliage is green and active it will readily absorb these nutrients applied by foliar sprays.
