Trial results: Haifa Bonus™ for higher soybean yield

Trial results: Haifa Bonus™ for higher soybean yield

During the growth season of 2014-2015, a trial was conducted at Centro de Pesquisa e Tecnologia do Oeste Baiano, Fundação Bahia (Brazil), to evaluate the effect of foliar application of Haifa Bonus™ on soybean development and yield, and to set the optimal timing for spray applications.

Trial results: Haifa Bonus™ for higher soybean yield

The results suggest that foliar application of Haifa Bonus™ considerably improves grain yield and increases the grower’s net income.

Trial setup

Sowing time: 11/24/14 (sprout on 11/29/14), Soil fertilization:

• 400 kg/ha granular fertilizer 02-25-00 (7% S, 0.08% B, 0.05% Cu, 0.2% Mn and 0.15% Zn) in the sowing furrow

• 200 kg/ha 00-00-60 at 26 DAE Treatments Haifa Bonus™ was applied at different phenological stages, at rate of 6 kg/ha (spray concentration of 40 g/l, spray volume of 150 l/ha). The table below specifies application times.

Conclusions:
All Haifa Bonus™ treatments increased grain yield compared to the control plot. The best treatment, a single application of Haifa Bonus™ at a rate of 6 kg/ha during the beginning of pod formation (R3 stage) resulted in yield increase of 965 kg of grains per ha (31%), and a calculated increase in net benefit of some R$ 990 per ha, compared to the control.
