Abstract: The University of Manitoba, long recognized as a trailblazer in high erucic acid rapeseed (HEAR) cultivar development, will continue to innovate in this field thanks to a Collaborative Research and Development grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and support from Bunge Canada and DL Seeds for a total of $3.9 million over the next five years. The research program is focused on producing world-class hybrid herbicide-tolerant HEAR cultivars, as well as uncovering novel aspects.
