Decentralized Power Station Inaugurated at Haifa Negev Plant
Haifa Negev continues to evolve as a leading production facility in Israel’s south. In recent years, significant investments have been made to upgrade infrastructure, expand production lines, and improve operational capabilities. The inauguration of a new power station marks yet another milestone in this ongoing development.
On Thursday, May 22, a new decentralized power station was inaugurated at the Haifa Negev site. The station includes four gas engines with a total capacity of 10 megawatts. Its construction represents a strategic investment in infrastructure, as part of Haifa Group’s continued growth and the expansion of production capabilities at the plant. The new station provides an additional energy source—stable, efficient, and environmentally friendly—that diversifies energy supply, enhances reliability, and enables significant economic savings alongside environmental sustainability.
The project was led by OPC ENERGY, in full coordination with Haifa Negev’s engineering, energy, and operations departments. It reflects the ongoing partnership between Haifa and OPC ENERGY, which began back in 2012.
We take pride in this achievement—resulting from meticulous planning, professional execution, and strong cross-functional collaboration. The new power station provides Haifa Negev with an important operational advantage on our shared path of growth.
