Press Release: Haifa retains its leading position with another leap in its production capacity

Haifa to add 30,000 tons to its annual MAP production capacity

HAIFA Chemicals, a global supplier of potassium nitrate for agriculture and industry, specialty plant nutrients and food phosphates, today announced the plan to build a new production facility of Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP).

The building of the facility, located in Haifa's plant in South Israel, has already started and it will be completed in 2012. The plant's building marks another important step in the execution of Haifa's strategic plan to extend and diversify its production facilities.

"The new plant fits the growing demand for Haifa's products, with an emphasis on MAP. It will enable our partners to enjoy a reliable supply of Haifa's top quality products, enhancing their offer to their customers and enabling a great time-to-market", said Mr. Natan Feldman, Haifa's Vice President Sales and Marketing.

"This expansion of our production facilities greatly enhances Haifa's leading market position and puts us at the very top of the supplier's list. The establishment of the new plant will not only increase production capacity but will also improve the stability of supply, enhancing Haifa's ability to respond to changing market situations", said Mr. Raoul Ronen, Haifa's Vice President Operation.
