In November 2025, Lionel Van Schalkwyk, an agronomy marketing expert from Haifa Southeast Asia, embarked on a pivotal business trip to Vietnam, underscoring Haifa’s commitment to expanding its presence in this fast-growing market. The visit, carried out in close collaboration with Lan Nguyen, Haifa’s country manager in Vietnam, centered around the Advanced Agricultural Solution’s (AAS) annual conference in Can Tho – a major regional event attended by more than 100 delegates from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.

Haifa’s strategy in Vietnam is clear: to deliver world-class plant nutrition solutions backed by the advanced technical knowledge and field experience earned across global markets. During the trip, Lionel not only shared insights from Haifa’s international operations but also engaged directly with distributors, dealers, and growers. He travelled with Eximzone, one of Haifa’s primary distributors, to Dalat – Vietnam’s horticultural hub with approximately 70,000 hectares of protected crops. Visits to Dalat Hasfarm, major dealers, and prominent growers highlighted both the region’s immense potential and its strong demand for comprehensive agronomic support. Stakeholders repeatedly expressed appreciation for Haifa’s product quality and emphasized the added value of expert guidance to maximize results.
A key message delivered throughout the visit was Haifa’s unwavering commitment to combatting counterfeit products and ensuring that only genuine Haifa solutions reach Vietnamese growers. Combined with the transfer of advanced agronomic know-how, this approach positions Haifa as a trusted partner ready to support Vietnam’s agricultural sector with innovative solutions and reliable, ongoing support.
