Calla lily fertilization program should take in consideration two important points:

  • High N-K ration will result in longer stems and weaker plants. The recommended ratio per stage is:

Growth stage Planting         Pre‐flowering (6‐8 weeks)   Flowering      End of flowering      Tuberisation
N:K ration 2:1 2:1.5 1:1 1:1.5 1:3

  • High EC and heavy fertilization can result root damage and cause to entry of disease, leading to Erwinia. EC level should be kept under 1.8

See below a suggestion for standard solution with N:K with ratio 1:1 calculated by NutriNet™ - Haifa’s fertigation expert program:

Remember: The more leaves a plant has the greater the number of flowers to be expected.
