1 kg of Multi-K™ K-pHorte added to a 1000-liter tank neutralizes approx. 6.5 mg/l CaCO3 (or 0.1 mmol/l HCO3). A single bag of 25 kg effectively neutralizes concentrations of 163 mg/l CaCO3 (or 3.3 mmol\l HCO3-). This action stabilizes the solution pH, prevents precipitation of nutrients such as calcium and magnesium, and ensures that they remain available for plant uptake. In addition, it helps maintain smooth water flow by preventing irrigation passages clogging.

Note: Multi-K™ pHorte is intended for functional use. It is recommended to calculate the required concentration and then complete the necessary amount of potassium nitrate in the tank using a Multi-K™ grade that best suits your needs (GG, Prime, Reci, or Enriched).
Multi-K™ pHorte efficiently acidifies the calcium tank, even under hard-water conditions. It is fully compatible with Haifa Cal™ GG and can be safely mixed to ensure stable solutions and reliable delivery of calcium together with potassium nitrate. Acidification in two steps – first in the stock solution tank, and then in the mixing tank or at the injection point – improves pH stability throughout the drip line.
Phosphate Tank Conditioner
In phosphate tanks, Multi-K™ K-pHorte improves phosphorus solubility and stabilizes the solution. By preventing the formation of suspended particles and sediments, it eliminates common issues that interfere with irrigation systems and ensures that essential plant nutrients remain fully available for plant uptake.
Tip: While adjusting pH, care should be taken to maintain levels safe for micronutrient chelates; in most cases, the pH should remain above 4.
Reduced Acid Requirements
By lowering the bicarbonate load in irrigation water, Multi-K™ K-pHorte reduces the amount of external acid that needs to be added to fertilizer tanks or directly into the drip lines. This simplifies fertigation practices, eliminates the challenges of handling corrosive acids, and contributes to safer, more convenient operation.
