On September 15–17, the Israel Agriculture Science Conference was held in Jerusalem, welcoming hundreds of participants – researchers, extension experts, and industry professionals. The conference served as a platform for a wide range of topics at the forefront of agricultural research and was a vivid testimony to Israel’s thriving activity in a field where it is considered a pioneer and leader.
Haifa Group was honored to be one of the conference sponsors. As part of the program, Gadi Shiftan, Marketing Manager for Controlled Release Fertilizers at Haifa, presented the environmental advantages of these fertilizers. In his lecture, he addressed the challenges of proper nitrogen management and the potential of controlled release fertilizers as a strategic solution to improve nitrogen use efficiency and reduce pollution caused by fertilizer losses to the environment. He also introduced Haifa’s latest development – a fertilizer with biodegradable coating, ensuring clean fertilization with no polluting residues.
Alongside the scientific sessions, a commercial exhibition showcased the latest industry innovations. In this framework, Eldad Sokolowsky, Chief Agronomist at Croptune™, presented the innovative app that provides farmers with real-time data on crop nitrogen levels, enabling smarter and more efficient fertilization. The exhibition created an opportunity for dialogue with experts from diverse fields – dialogue that helps us better understand growers’ needs and challenges, and tailor effective solutions accordingly.
