n the high-temperature conditions of Yautepec (Morelos State, Mexico), grower Andres Rodriguez Lira cultivates greenhouse cucumbers across 2.7 hectares. Seeking to improve crop tolerance to heat stress and maintain high productivity, he worked together with Haifa Group agronomists to test HaifaStim™ Wall-Up S in a demo plot within the greenhouse.
Based on innovative ortho-silicic acid technology, the product delivers highly efficient silicon that strengthens plant cell walls, enhances tolerance to abiotic stresses, and supports better yield quality.
The treatment was integrated into a complete nutrition program based on Haifa’s soluble fertilizers, including Haifa Cal™ GG, Poly-Feed™ GG, Haifa MAP™, Haifa MKP™, Haifa Mag, and Haifa Micro™.
Andres expresses great satisfaction with the results, noting improved tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses and better yields. “We like Haifa products because we find the right concentrations, and they also have excellent solubility and purity,” he says.
